Thank you (Ger 60 and Malte) for your replies.
I was finally able to open the .PDF file but only if I used a browser (Bing or Safari) other than my default browser, Firefox. The odd thing is that I could open many of the other .PDF plan files with Firefox but not the No.4 Components and Fittings which, of course, was the one I needed. However, even using the other browsers I could not print that .PDF file!? It is as if there is a copyright issue? Is that possible? Safari requested a password to print it!
I was hoping to have someone fabricate the rudder post fitting (ruderbeschläge) which I do not have. I can probably purchase a manufactured pintel from the sailboat rigging company I plan to use but in the interest of having the original parts I thought I would see what it would cost.
In a future post I will address this issue of 'maintaining originality' during refurbishing of the Pirat. In short, as much as I would have liked to - I have not. :-(
Best regards,
Bob
